Welcome to the Republican Leadership Council!
In the months and years ahead, we look forward to working with Republicans across the country to build a strong coalition of individuals who want the Republican Party to return to its traditional, fiscally conservative roots.
The Republican Leadership Council supports:
* Low taxes with balanced budgets;
* Strong national defense;
* Engaged foreign policy;
* Protection of the environment; and
* Less government interference in individual lives.
This is an agenda that the majority of Americans already support. The responsibility of ensuring that the GOP follows the proper path lies with those Republicans who are willing to work to make it happen. Join us in reclaiming our Party and ensuring a return to the core values the Republican Party has advocated for generations.
This site is a meeting ground for all Republicans who want to make a difference – and expand the Republican party - check out our blog, news, candidates or volunteer today! If you are a candidate who is interested in the RLC’s support, please complete our candidate survey.
Thank you for visiting – we look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.
Sincerely yours,

Kelly becomes an NRCC ‘Young Gun’
The NRCC has moved congressional candidate Mike Kelly, running against incumbent Democrat Kathy Dahlkemper, into its “Young Gun” program, which is designed to identify the GOP’s top pick-up opportunities across the country, The Hotline reports.
How Do You Stop an Elephant Charging?
Eight weeks out and you don't have to be a political professional to feel what's in the air: The Republicans have a big win coming.
The question in the House races is: Will they get to 218? Will Republicans pick up the 39 seats they need to win control of the 435-member chamber?
Another way of asking: Is this 1994 again?
The Small Business Tax Hike and the 97% Fallacy
When Congress returns from its summer recess, members will face a pivotal decision about the expiring Bush tax cuts. President Barack Obama has called for their permanent extension for singles with incomes below $200,000 and married couples with incomes below $250,000, but has proposed that most of the tax cuts for households with higher incomes be allowed to expire.

Recent example: Scads of liberals gleefully predicted that the financial crisis and deep recession would destroy Americans' faith in markets and increase their confidence in big government. Many conservatives gloomily feared they were right.
Fewer Young Voters See Themselves as Democrats
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The college vote is up for grabs this year — to an extent that would have seemed unlikely two years ago, when a generation of young people seemed to swoon over Barack Obama.
Though many students are liberals on social issues, the economic reality of a weak job market has taken a toll on their loyalties: far fewer 18-to 29-year-olds now identify themselves as Democrats compared with 2008.
Poll: Trust swings to GOP on economy, jobs
In an ominous sign for Democrats, a new poll has found that people trust the GOP more on the economy and jobs, the two issues most likely to decide the fall elections.
In a USA Today/Gallup poll released Wednesday, 49 percent of respondents said Republicans would do a better job handling the economy than Democrats; only 38 percent said Democrats would be better.
"Young Guns" Pushes a Youthful, Diverse GOP
Washington's chattering class zeroed in Tuesday on a potential but still nonexistent leadership battle between House Minority Leader John Boehner and Minority Whip Eric Cantor after members of the press received their advance copies of the latter's new book, "Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders." While the book may indeed elevate Cantor, who co-authored the book with Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan and California Rep.
