The Iowa Republican Leadership Conference, held on December 1, was a great success.  Thank you to all who attended - including Governors Whitman, Branstad, and Ray, and Congressman Leach.

The RLC would like to thank Iowa Captain Joy Corning and her committee of event-organizers for all of their hard work to make the event a success.

============================================

Welcome to the Iowa Chapter of the Republican Leadership Council!

I am Joy Corning, Iowa's lieutenant governor for eight years during the 1990's and now enthusiastically energizing my fellow committed Republicans to help return our party to its strong traditional centrist principles. Because that's also the goal of RLC-PAC initiative, I am glad to serve as the RLC volunteer captain for our state.

Our Iowa chapter wants to embrace those young people and those once-active Republicans who may have considered quietly leaving our party or withholding candidate support because many candidates no longer speak out for--nor uphold--our sound and time-proven mainstream values:

  • government that is fiscally responsible;
  • government that respects the right of individuals to make decisions about their personal lives;
  • government concerned about the environment; and
  • government working toward tax reform.

We plan for our chapter to grow in numbers, to be effective in recruiting and supporting centrist Republicans for our legislature, and to lend support to current Republican office-holders who exemplify moderate Republican values.
Please contact me at iowa@republican-leadership.com [1] if you would like to be part of this initiative.
