Our First Ad: "Frugal"

I am excited to show you our first ad that will begin running on television across the district TODAY! Growing up in Kansas and serving with the people of Kansas over the years, I know you work extremely hard for every paycheck. As I say in the ad, the best way to stop politicans from wasting your money, is to make sure they never get it in the first place.

A Mainer was in the national spotlight at a convention again Thursday night, as Charlie Summers, the GOP candidate in the 1st District U.S. House race, addressed the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn.

A leader is a person who can unite and work on both sides of the aisle to address domestic and foreign policy.  Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership have failed to address the energy crisis in America. The Speaker of the House went to recess without a debate or a vote to address gas prices - they are not focused on the concerns of American people. 

Former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman said Thursday that Republicans do have an obstacle to overcome this election year resulting from negative views of the Bush administration.

Rep. Bob Walker, R-Lincolnville, met Christie Todd Whitman, former New Jersey governor and head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, at a fundraiser Aug. 6, at Point Lookout.

Already having received the endorsement of the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, Republican Mark Gordon now has the endorsement of the Casper Star Tribune and Wyoming’s two statewide newspapers. In an editorial in the Sunday paper the Casper Star Tribune gave Gordon the nod over his opponents in the primary for U.S. House.
